The holidays can often be stressful, but here at The Williams House, we offer a Thanksgiving package that takes all the work off your plate while providing relaxation, adventure, and sumptuous meals! Though it won’t yet be Christmas, our inn will be decked out in festive decor.
Each morning, you’ll enjoy a two course gourmet breakfast in our elegant dining room. Imagine sipping fresh coffee and juice while admiring our brand new artwork and wall color! Upon check-in, you’ll be greeted with a chocolate and fruit platter in your guest room.
Are you a history buff or just enjoy strolling historic streets? Then you’ll love the Amelia Island Museum of History Centre Street Tour on Thanksgiving Eve. You’ll learn about the families, industries, and businesses that have shaped Fernandina, while admiring historic architecture. The tour, which covers eight blocks, takes about an hour.
Later that evening, after wine in our parlor, use an included $75 gift card at a delicious local restaurant. Retire to your cozy room to rest or venture out to one of our local breweries for a nightcap!
On Thanksgiving Day, you’ll be in awe of our coast’s natural wonders during a narrated boat tour of Amelia Island and Cumberland Island. Did you know that Cumberland Island is home to over 100 wild horses? You’ll learn about this and so much more during your voyage. We’ll even provide lunch in a custom Williams House canvas tote!
Your Thanksgiving dinner will take place at one of our favorite local eateries, David’s Restaurant and Lounge, which is known for its romantic ambience and exceptional service. The prix fixe menu includes beef short ribs, pumpkin cheesecake, Chilean sea bass, and much more!
The next day, take part in the Annual Black Friday Pajama Party on Centre Street. Enjoy holiday music, a pajama contest, face painting, games, and even a visit from the big guy himself – Santa! On Saturday, the Ritz-Carlton hosts its spectacular lighting of its 40 ft. Christmas tree. Open to the public, this event includes live music, cookies, refreshments, and Santa’s arrival by train. It’s not to be missed!
We can’t wait to host you for Thanksgiving at the Williams House. We’ve seen to every detail and look forward to your arrival.
