Fall Arrives on Amelia Island

After a long summer season, fall has arrived.  Temperatures are still in mid to high 80′s, but the humidity is not as bad, 90′s are long gone and there is just a different feel to the air.  Of course, we don’t get a lot of color change here as the Northeast and New England do, so we have to add our on color to make it feel like fall has really arrived. We decorate both inside and out with fall decorations and, of course, this is just a small warm-up for the real decorating task that begins in early November for  Christmas.

We enjoy the changing seasons and it is one reason we chose this location and B&B.  It is a taste of fall and winter, but very short on the winter, no snow, sleet or freezing rain and yet we get a change from the normally warm temperatures seen most of the year. September thru November are some of our best temperatures of the year.

We decorate for Halloween, but get very few trick or treaters.  I guess there are plenty of other more concentrated housing areas that offer greater treat density.
