Uniquely named boat at the Marina
It must be challenging to create a boat name that captures one’s personality, style of living or temperament. We see a lot of unusual names down at the Marina and some boats from quite a distance away. I always wonder what went through the owner’s mind in coming up with the name. Help form his spouse? Kids, the golf foursome, buddies, workmates or just an idea that was always in the back of the mind. At any rate it is a pleasure to see folks from so many places parking here in Fernandina Beach and exploring our neighborhood from their floating homes. We appreciate the unique and sometimes humorous names they’ve given their boats. I’m sure the great local restaurants and friendly people make them hope their travels bring them this way again, just like all of our guests who experience a little of small town America, right here on the Island.
