We had a great turnout for the Cookie Tour today – close to 600!  We were so busy we didn’t get a chance to take many pictures, but we all had a wonderful time and met some great people.   Thanks everyone!

Beautiful trees, thousand’s of tiny white light, red bows and wreaths adorn the Williams House. Come relax and share the holiday season and enjoy the many activities of Amelia Island- the perfect island vacation. Our 2012 holiday package includes:

Full house here on this Veterans day weekend with happy faces all enjoying a patriotic breakfast!
It was a perfect balmy morning for the Veterans day parade as well (love the bagpipes!) and our guests were able to enjoy the festivities from the front porch.

Fernandina Newcomers Coffee Get Together

We were honored to host forty lovely members of the Fernandina Newcomers Club this week. What a great way to kick-off the holiday season!

Coffee and assorted teas with sweets and savories were on the menu for a morning club meeting and also a sneak peek at some of the Christmas decorations as we ready ourselves for the Cookie Tour!

Pictured are two of the many offerings of the meeting – our trademark southern warm tea sandwiches… farm fresh ham and cheese tucked inside a delicate rosemary biscuit!

History of the American Soldier – Fort Clinch Nov.10th

Join us at the Williams House and be a part of the rich history of Amelia Island and Fort Clinch on this Veterans Day weekend!
November 10th, 2012, Ft. Clinch State Park and the Friends of Ft. Clinch present the history of the American Soldier. Join us at Fort Clinch for a full day of U.S. Military History as we honor our Armed Forces. Review Military Displays from
 the Revolutionary War to Present Day. Enjoy period music and firing demonstrations. Visit our “Fort Clinch Canteen” for a variety of delightful refreshments. Fun for the whole family.
Regular Park admission applies. Fort admission is one canned food item per person, to be donated to the Barnabas Food Pantry.

You’ve spent your time making everyone happy at Thanksgiving – this year let us treat you on the holiday!

Wake up to a 2 course gourmet breakfast and then spend the day strolling the sights of historical fernandina, the serene sandy beaches or relaxing on the gingerbread laden porches with a good book and conversation.

Saunter back to the parlor decorated for the Christmas season to partake of afternoon tea with sweets and savories such as cucumber dill finger sanwiches, honey pecan chicken salad in flaky pastry cups, bacon and tomato on crostini not to mention the decadent dessert offering of pecan tassies, strawberries stuffed with creme fraiche and assorted homemade cookies. Carriage tours of the town will be offered to guests wishing as well to get a old fashioned view of the beautiful historic homes in Fernandina and imagine days gone by.
Time to rest up and ready yourself for the wine hour followed by Thanksgiving meal with your dinner certificate at a local restaurant!
The next morning you can regale in the festivities of the downtown shopping district which is having a Black Friday Pajama Party with discounts and specials galore. Wear your PJ”s in public-WHAT FUN!
